A Century in the MakingThe year was 1920, and who knew that a century later, a small group of four football teams would turn into the most popular professional sports league in the United States. The slow motion spiral of a forward pass is viewed as an indelible image in the minds of Americans, proving that football is America's Game. More proof of this fact is shown in the most viewed event on television each year, the Super Bowl. Without further ado, here are my thoughts on the outcome of this historic season. American Football ConferenceAFC North 1. Baltimore Ravens* (10-6) 2. Cleveland Browns* (8-8) 3. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-8) 4. Cincinnati Bengals (4-12) AFC South 1. Houston Texans* (11-5) 2. San Francisco 49ers NFC Champion - New Orleans Saints Super Bowl LIV - New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots Super Bowl LIV Champion - New Orleans Saints Yes, I predict another Saints/Patriots Super Bowl and a fourth-straight Super Bowl appearance for New England, tying an NFL record set by the Buffalo Bills from 1990-1993. I swear if the NFL robs the Saints of another Super Bowl, I will lose my mind. Good luck to your teams too. Happy 100 years, NFL!
